This Video Digitizer Xtra is a software plug-in that allows Microsoft Windows based applications written using Director, to capture Video and Audio from hardware inputs; and, uniquely, export and manipulate it in any format supported by QuickTime, using some simple Lingo commands. To capture video and audio in a movie, simply place a VdigXtra sprite into your score. All of the capture functions are "child handlers" for the sprite, and video can be previewed or captured to hard disk in any compression format supported by QuickTime. You can export pieces of a QuickTime movie to a new, self-contained QuickTime movie using any of the many export components supported by QuickTime. This version of the Xtra features the inclusion of Abstract Plane's recently released Vdig Version 1.2.0 incorporating many new features, and ensuring the highest level of reliability across all recognised capture devices - PCI cards, USB WebCams or DV cameras connected by FireWire.
