How do I create a full range of notes from just one sample note?

This technique only works in Director 8 (and hopefully in future versions).

An UNDOCUMENTED property in D8 for sound member is the rateShift property. This property let you shift a note by the however many semitone(s) you specify.

So, for example, setting rateShift to 1 will shift the note by one semitone (e.g. from a D to a D sharp), and setting the rateShift to 2 will shift the note by two semitones (e.g. from a D to a E).

Note that if the rateShift property to set to too high, the sound may no longer be audible, because the rateShift property more or less changes the duration of the note to simulate the note difference.
