This can occur if the user has a different display resolution than the Stage Rect, and if a projector is not set for the "full screen" option. In any event, having a fixed-size window does afford more efficient playback within Director, allows you to make the Director movie layout pleasing when working with a known size. So the only question is what to do to cover up the desktop when the monitor Rect is larger than the Stage Rect.
