NetDone() not registering in IE on the Mac

Why does IE on teh Mac never return a proper netDone() for my cgi call?

If no text is returned IE sometimes improperly thinks the netStream is still in progress.  Have the CGI return at least 1 character (with a print, etc) and it will work properly.
