The Beatnik Xtra for Macromedia Director (versions 6, 6.5, and 7) is ideal for adding music and sound effects to Enhanced CDs, games, interactive courseware, presentations, and Shockwave movies, and for general "sonification" of graphic user interfaces. Providing up to 64 sound channels on both Macintosh and Windows platforms, and with extremely low latency performance and CPU overheads, Beatnik opens up to a world of interactive audio features not previously available to Director developers. The Beatnik Xtra lite shipped with Director 7 and is available for download for developers with older versions of Director.
